Vermont Organics Reclamation at the University Mall

Plants

At the Vermont Organics Reclamation store in the University Mall in South Burlington, a variety of ‘eco-friendly’ plants are available. Our plants aid in stream bank restoration and help control soil erosion that causes pollution in Lake Champlain. Many are selected to bloom early in the year and provide food when other flowers are not yet available, feeding the beneficial insect population in Vermont.

Give the ‘Gift of Ecology’

Make a direct impact on water quality in Vermont’s watershed. For each plant you purchase, Vermont Organics Reclamation will plant another on Rugg Brook, an impaired watershed in the Lake Champlain Basin. A portion of the proceeds from plant sales will be donated to Vermont dairy farmers.

Organic Clothing

We carry a broad range of 100% certified organic cotton clothing, that come in a wide variety of graphic designs displaying themes such as clean water, clean air, recycling, wind and solar power, and soil and animal conservation. The cotton used to produce our clothes is farmed without the use of chemicals and pesticides.

Did you know…

Conventionally grown cotton represents 10% of world pesticide use, and 25% of world insecticide use. This epitomizes the worst effects of a chemically dependent agriculture industry. The purchase of organic clothing helps to protect the health of the planet by reducing the amount of toxic chemicals that ultimately end up in the ground, air, water and food supply.
